Your child's data on beMahan: what we keep, and why
A plain-language guide for parents to what beMahan stores about a child, what it never collects, who signs in, and how to download or delete it all.
The beMahan team
When a website is for children, parents should be able to understand exactly what it does with their child’s information, without legal language. Here it is, simply.
Who signs in
A parent or guardian. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a child’s details can only be used with a parent’s consent. So on beMahan an adult signs in with their own Google account, confirms they are the parent or guardian, and then adds a profile for each child (up to six). Children never create accounts themselves.
What we keep
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Parent’s Google account ID, email and first name | To sign you in and contact you about the account if needed |
| Child’s first name, class, board, state, subjects (school is optional) | To show the right lessons and subjects |
| Lessons watched, test answers and scores, coins, streak, badges | To save progress and keep the coins fair |
| When you gave consent, and to which version of our notice | A legal record of your agreement |
What we never collect
- No photo of your child
- No surname, date of birth or home address
- No Aadhaar or any other government ID
- No location tracking, microphone or camera
What we never do
- No ads. Not to parents, not to children.
- No trackers. No advertising pixels, no social-media widgets, no behaviour tracking for marketing.
- No selling or sharing of data for marketing, ever.

Questions parents ask
Why does a parent have to sign in, not the child?
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires a parent's consent before a child's personal data is used. So an adult signs in with their own Google account, agrees, and then adds a profile for each child.
Does beMahan show ads or track my child?
No. There are no ads, no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers. Learning data is used only to show progress, save test results and keep coins fair.
How do I delete my child's data?
Remove the child's profile, or delete the whole account, from the "Who's learning" page. It is erased from live systems at once and from backups within 30 days.
Can I see everything beMahan holds about us?
Yes. The "Who's learning" page has a button to download all of it as a file.
